The Green River College court reporting students have participated in Professor Clark’s Essential Lawyering Skills course for the last four years.  This workshop affords the students a wonderful learning opportunity by being lead reporters during the mock depositions that are taken in the afternoon.  During the exercise, they get to share their knowledge of taking depositions with the law students to assist the law students in understanding the deposition process.

The court reporting students also participate in other mock deposition exercises at Seattle University School of Law, as well as participating in the mock trials for the Attorney General’s Office in Olympia.  Getting this practical experience is crucial to bridging school learning with real-world application.

Also present was Ron Cook, the Washington State Speed Champion, to share his knowledge and real-time skills.
